I thought this play was very interesting.It was funny how when somebody at home would ask him to do something, he would say his line. And then on the day of the play, when he is saying his line, he mixes up the order of his words. I think he might have been scared because if he messed up his line, Belinda would have shoved his face into the dirt were the worms of the Earth live. I also thought what the teacher said to him after the play,"Almost" she said and I thought that was hilarious.

2. What message or theme do you think the author is trying to get across in “The School Play”. Write at least two sentences, one to list the theme and one to explain what happened in the story shows this theme.
i think the theme of this story is that robert got a part as a pioneer and he's trying not to forget his lines or Belinda would shove his face in the dirt. When robert is at home and keeps saying his line over and over and over. These are examples from the story, but what message about life do they support?

a. depleted- Robert depleted all the food at home
